So, today I tripped going up the stairs. Huge embarrassment. I was late getting out of class because we had a test, so I had to run to make it in time to print out a copy of our group essay that was due that day so I could take it into the next class period. Well, running up the stairs to different departments with an extremely heavy backpack and a couple of books and papers in your hands are not neccessarily a good thing nor would I ever recommend anyone to do it, unless they feel in need to feel the pain of not being able to bend their knees. That I will not object to. But kids, please don't try this at home.
To continue my story, as if tripping on the last step was bad enough, out of my peripheral vision, I see a guy just sitting their totally aghast to what just happened to the poor little kid who has not only flew up the steps but is now crawling because the backpack is weighing her down as it slides up her neck. Papers are everywhere and books are everywhere. Luckily enough, or at least the only thing that made it a little better, one of my loose sheet of paper slid under my palm as I fell and saved me from a couple of painful scratches in my right hand. My left hand and both of my knees were unfortunately not so lucky.
Scrambling quickly to gather all my fallen books and papers as fast as I can to bolt straight into the chemistry department, I was not able to catch the glimpse of the guy except for the fact that he had black and hair and was apparently, yes, a guy.
Once inside the door, a thought comes up. The guy didn't even have the common courtesy to ask me if I was okay. So back me up girls, should guys (in seeing that you're in need of some kind of help) ask if you're okay and maybe, just maybe, help you gather some of your scattered belongings? Or is that a little too much to ask in this day and age where gallantry is no longer seen in the average male population?
But you needn't worry about me my folks! I printed out the papers I needed with a minute and a half to spare. Should I also tell you that I tried to take a short cut into my next class' department but the door was locked today out of all days? So I had to walk out a different door just to save myself from further embarrassment, per se if the guy starts laughing at me?
But as I was walking towards my next class, whose department was right next door to the chem building, I decided to look up at the place of agony, to find that the guy was gone.
Ah, farewell gallant-less knight. Shall you ever recognize me from the mass of students that you see from day to day, please don't laugh. Because I swear I will get a good look at you then. Ciao for now!
If someone told you that they love you out of habit, what would be your first thoughts? Is it: Aw, how sweet are you? Or is it: What??! So you mean that you love me because you're always near me?
It starts with a crush, then it goes into marriage. Marriage results into children and children requires responsibility. After the responsibility of children to bind two people together, love becomes more of a habit. Two people stay together because they feel comfortable being together, and by habit, they no longer can see being together with anybody else.
Hehe. Just my little theory. Thought I put it out there.
So, have you guys ever tried looking at two people and even though they look really sweet together, for some reason, your mind keeps on telling you: "NO! Absolutely not! This is not going to last! Believe me...!"
It's odd. I know. Maybe I'm just an oddball though, but for some reason, I just can't picture the two as a couple. I mean the guy takes care of the girl pretty well, but knowing the girl's personality, for some reason it seems like the girl is just spending time with him like a play date...
Oh well.. what can a little fudgeroo do but sit from the sidelines and ask the guy to sit as far away from her as possible?
I've recently started watching "The Winter Melon Tale" or also known in Vietnamese as "Tien Tinh Pham Chua Dut." From the first two episodes that I had to toothpick my eyes open, the series was way too vulgar and had too much bathroom humor for my taste. Sunny Chan plays the typical role of the innocent and unbelievably nice man. Louisa So also stars in this drama, and I've recently started to like her alot more after the series "Phoenix Rising", which by the way is a fantastic drama also starring Sunny Chan.
Another character that I would also like to mention within this series is Nancy Wu. She only appeared for about ten minutes through out the first two episodes and portrays a beautiful girl. I believe that she serves as a monster character. Doesn't it seem as though she plays a little too much of this type of role nowadays? I mean, I really like her as an actress but maybe she needs a breakthrough role?
Well, as always, here's a trailer of the series (The Winter Melon Tale):
But just in case you wanted to look into the "Phoenix Rising":
Here is one of the few (more like only) Vietnamese series that I've ever really liked. I've never been a big fan of Vietnamese series, but I've got to say that this one really had my attention!!! Bong Dung Muon Khoc stars Tang Thanh Ha and Luong Manh Hai.
So.. Here's the trailer!
If you guys would like to try this series out, there's a group subbing this at the moment on youtube! So go try it and have fun!
Wow... can you believe we only have 3 more weeks of school left?! Finals, papers, and projects due... AIYA... this is devastating.
So.. since I'm still hooked on this manga and because school is sucking almost all life out of me...
OURAN HIGH SCHOOL HOST CLUB!!! YAY! Warning: there may be some spoilers in this clip. There are some parts that came from the last episode in the anime.
I finally finished the Korean series "Thank You" starring Jang Hyuk and Gong Hyo Jin. It's such an amazing series revealing the life of a single mother who must take care of both a senile grandfather and a daughter who's suffering from aids. It's a really endearing series and also the first series Jang Hyuk starred in after his release from military duty.
So in honor of this series: This is a part of the ending, so PLEASE don't watch it nor read on if you guys don't want the ending to be spoiled for you!
This is also one of my favorite parts in the series. I have no idea how many times I've watched this part now. The gist of this part is basically YS (Gong Hyo Jin) wants to take her child and leave to another part of Korea. GS begs her not to leave and asks her if he could be a reason for them to stay.
My favorite part in this clip was when GS catches up to YS and yells at her: Am I crazy? For a woman that doesn't even treat me as well as her dog, I've done work that I'd never before imagined that I would do. My heart shatters when I see the woman's tears and with just a smile from her, I imagined that I had the whole world. Am I crazy?!
AWWW! Too bad these dedicated men belong only in film huh? And if they do, they don't last forever. They're all just a dream. A lovely dream that is. So now, I will go store the lovely Jang Hyuk away so that I may have a wonderful dream tonight. I HOPE YOU ALL HAVE WONDERFUL DREAMS TONIGHT TOO!
I went to eat Thai food, delicious but shows how much my sister knows me when she orders something that she knows I can't eat. Or maybe it's on purpose? Nah.
Anyways, since it's kind of late and I don't feel like making two posts today, here's my random post attached!!! Have fun!
Here's one of my favorite old time comedy. Van Son's Hoang Phi Hung
This is the animation of the song:
Translation:
- Past hatred… I promise I will not forget - Scare me and I will beat you up - (0:38- 0:45) Even with a shameless face, I vow I will have my revenge - I agree to go to jail - I will not agree to be scared - (0:50-0:54) I hate! I will train in martial arts to prepare myself for revenge - I will refrain from relationships (sexual/marital) - I will even refrain from friendship - I am determined to go deep into the forest - To make you bastards cough up blood (beat you to death) - (1:32-1:41) From martial arts in the East to Hong Kong to a collection of shaolin artistry - On top of that, freestyle martial arts to train myself - Hungry or full, I do not care - I vow to have my revenge even if my body rots - Death is better than to have them belittle me - Now I have reach the highest level of martial arts (the potato or something at 2:07 says “you’ve caught the wrong one!”)- I vow to find you bastards (the words in the background at 2:11 (Giết = kill)) - To twist your feet and break your hands - I’ll sharpen my razor blade (the tattoo on the “hero” at 2:18 says “hate” - (2:20) The rodent/potato says: Do you need to hit me that much? I already said that you’ve caught the wrong person!!!- I will cut your muscles (at 2:24, the “hero” say: “you can still talk?” - Even if I have to reincarnate (as in even if I have to die) - You bastards will become gay (lost your private part)
Now this may not be as funny to those who don't know the story of the legendary Hoang Phi Hung. But long story short, he's basically the man who's a hero in ancient china.
I'm new to this blogging thing, but hey, typing is always better than the old pen and paper (or at least for now).
I've always wanted to know what happens when people in your family no longer love you because you've grown quiet? Because there's so much on your mind that you must comprehend on your own time and can not put those feelings into words? When you've obliged to their demands and have kept a distance?
What do you do when you try to be supportive to someone but that someone keeps on turning their back to you? At one point they need you, the next, you've become invisible? If they constantly lie to you, should you still give them your aid, knowing that you've now become vulnerable?
When an elder yells at you, should you stay quiet or should you argue for your position? I've chosen to stay quiet, and yet, I've been criticized for being disrespectful. I no longer understand what others want. Should I?
