Embarrassment

So, today I tripped going up the stairs. Huge embarrassment.
I was late getting out of class because we had a test, so I had to run to make it in time to print out a copy of our group essay that was due that day so I could take it into the next class period. Well, running up the stairs to different departments with an extremely heavy backpack and a couple of books and papers in your hands are not neccessarily a good thing nor would I ever recommend anyone to do it, unless they feel in need to feel the pain of not being able to bend their knees. That I will not object to. But kids, please don't try this at home.

To continue my story, as if tripping on the last step was bad enough, out of my peripheral vision, I see a guy just sitting their totally aghast to what just happened to the poor little kid who has not only flew up the steps but is now crawling because the backpack is weighing her down as it slides up her neck. Papers are everywhere and books are everywhere. Luckily enough, or at least the only thing that made it a little better, one of my loose sheet of paper slid under my palm as I fell and saved me from a couple of painful scratches in my right hand. My left hand and both of my knees were unfortunately not so lucky.

Scrambling quickly to gather all my fallen books and papers as fast as I can to bolt straight into the chemistry department, I was not able to catch the glimpse of the guy except for the fact that he had black and hair and was apparently, yes, a guy.

Once inside the door, a thought comes up. The guy didn't even have the common courtesy to ask me if I was okay. So back me up girls, should guys (in seeing that you're in need of some kind of help) ask if you're okay and maybe, just maybe, help you gather some of your scattered belongings? Or is that a little too much to ask in this day and age where gallantry is no longer seen in the average male population?

But you needn't worry about me my folks! I printed out the papers I needed with a minute and a half to spare. Should I also tell you that I tried to take a short cut into my next class' department but the door was locked today out of all days? So I had to walk out a different door just to save myself from further embarrassment, per se if the guy starts laughing at me?

But as I was walking towards my next class, whose department was right next door to the chem building, I decided to look up at the place of agony, to find that the guy was gone.

Ah, farewell gallant-less knight. Shall you ever recognize me from the mass of students that you see from day to day, please don't laugh. Because I swear I will get a good look at you then. Ciao for now!
